Did you know that the holiday season is a wonderful time to show how thankful you are for life’s blessings by giving to those who may be having a difficult time? At The Soul 2 Sol Annual Toy Drive, we believe that this is a time when we can come together as a community and make a positive impact on the lives of others. Our organization aims to provide toys to children and families in underserved communities during the holiday season. To date, we have been successful in our mission to spread joy, compassion, and happiness during the holiday season, with hundreds of children benefiting from our efforts.
We are operated entirely by volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in communities of need. We rely on donations from family, friends, and our own personal resources to fund the operations, buy toys, and bring joy to the lives of children. Our commitment to making a difference in the lives of others is an inspiring goal. From 2019, 450 children have received new, unwrapped toys from our organization. It is coming close to Christmas, and I want to thank the Soul 2 Sol organization for putting together the annual toy give away, and providing toys to the kids that may not have a Christmas. I remember as a child back in the fifties when my mother of seven kids could not buy all my sisters and brother’s Christmas gifts. They did not have organizations like the S2S toy drive back then. At least not that I recall. As kids we would look out the window and watch the neighborhood kids play with their new toys. It was upsetting for me. As I grew older, I understood that times were hard back then, and there were not many resources to reach out to.
For three years now, I have been receiving free brand-new unwrapped toys from the S2S organization. I suffered an Aneurysm in 2019 and was not able to work. Because of the Soul-2-Sol toy drive, I was able to get Christmas toys for my grandbabies. I want to thank Carmen and her team for putting a smile on all the kids’ faces who have received toys from their organization in our community.
